Matagorda Regional Medical Center

The Matagorda Regional Medical Center is a modern, state-of-the-art 58 bed hospital located in Bay City, TX. The healthcare facility opened its doors and began treating patients in July of 2009 and has continued to grow its impressive offering of medical services to the Matagorda area communities.  Among the services offered at MRMC are Radiology/Imaging, Cardiac Care Services, Cardio-Pulmonary Services, Surgical Services, Senior Care Mental-Health Program, The Women’s Center, Critical Care Services, Diagnostic Testing, Emergency Department Services, Laboratory Services, Hospitalist Program, Balloon Sinuplasty, Medical/Surgical Unit, Outpatient Rehab, Public Health Clinic, WIC Clinic, Doman Freeman Phillips Medical Office Building and a Convenient Care Clinic. Physicians at Matagorda Regional partner with the Baylor School of Medicine’s Radiology Department to provide advanced diagnostic services by Radiologists specializing in Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedics, and others. Matagorda Regional Medical Center prides itself on offering excellent medical care in a hometown atmosphere.

Also, on the MRMC campus is the Bay City Regional Dialysis Center that also opened in 2009 and offers complete Nephrology services by three physicians.

Matagorda Episcopal Health Outreach Program (MEHOP)

MEHOP is a Federally Qualified Health Center in Bay City, TX. MEHOP provides a large array of healthcare and dental services to all patients regardless of whether they are insured, uninsured or underinsured. Services offered at MEHOP include primary medical care, dental, pediatrics, OB/GYN, and behavioral health. 

Palacios Community Medical Center

Palacios Community Medical Center (PCMC) is a community-owned hospital. The Hospital is a 17-bed Critical Access Hospital with Outpatient/Inpatient Laboratory, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Social Services, Sleep Studies, and In-House Pharmacy. It also offers 24-hour Emergency Room Services. The Palacios hospital accepts most insurance, but also offers Medicaid screening and other programs for uninsured and underinsured patients. In addition to these services, they also assist patients with applying for food stamps, Children's Health Insurance Program, Medical Assistance Program and other financial assistance.
